§ 25-28. One-way streets.

  • (a)

    Whenever the board of commissioners, by ordinance, designates any segment or all of a street or alley for one-way traffic only, the city engineering department shall place and maintain appropriate signage giving public notice thereof and said ordinance shall not be enforced until appropriate signage is in place. No person shall operate a motor vehicle, bicycle or other device used for transportation, in an unauthorized direction on a street or alley designated for one-way traffic only.

    (b)

    Any person found to be in violation of subsection (a) of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00).
